American Schools Association is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number: 11644. Courses with "BRN" in the contact hour designation will be issued a certificate for California Board of Registered Nursing. We have been approved as continuing education provider by the Florida Board of Nursing, Provider FBN #2466. Courses with "FRN" in the contact hour designation will be awarded a certificate for the Florida Board of Nursing. Deadline for completing course-work is governed by the individual nurse's continuing education/license renewal deadline.
LCSW-MFT: Some Courses in this Catalog meet the requirements for Continuing Education for MFT and LCSW for the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). Our Provider Number is: PCE 1823. Courses which will be granted a Certificate for California BBS will have MFT/LCSW at the end of the Course Description. The California BBS states that: "Licensees can earn UP TO One-Third of their CE hours through self-study courses." This amounts to 12 contact hours per renewal period.
NBCC: American Schools Association is recognized by the National Board of Certified Counselors to offer Continuing Education for National Certified Counselors (NCC). We adhere to NBCC Continuing Education Guidelines - NBCC Provider #: 5913. Certain Courses are preapproved for NBCC Continuing Education and NCC at the end of the Course Description indicates that the NCC Certificate of Completion will be issued for that Course.
